Kelly McCrystal

Kelly McCrystal is Executive Vice President of Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (SRMNCH) and Chief Strategy Officer at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI). She is responsible for strategic leadership and the development and launch of new programs. As head of New Initiatives, she oversees a programmatic portfolio that includes Maternal and Newborn Health, Family Planning, Nutrition and Cancer. Most recently, Ms. McCrystal led the design and launch of two multi-country initiatives to help reduce chronic malnutrition in children under 5 years old and to reduce maternal and neonatal deaths.

Ms. McCrystal joined CHAI in 2011. Prior to assuming her current roles, she served as Country Director in Tanzania. During her tenure in Tanzania, she directed the expansion of CHAI’s programs in Tanzania to include supporting the Government’s introduction of two new vaccines, and expanding malaria rapid testing in the private sector.

Prior to joining CHAI, Ms. McCrystal spent 17 years designing and implementing large-scale e-commerce and software applications for various companies. Ms. McCrystal also started a successful technology training company in partnership with the University of California-Irvine.

Ms. McCrystal received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
