CHAI invites eligible and interested companies to bid for the supply of medical oxygen pipeline and manifold materials, installation, and related services at 15 prioritized health facilities in Ethiopia.
Medical oxygen is vital medicine for managing hypoxemia or low blood oxygen in patients with severe COVID-19 and other respiratory diseases. A safe, reliable oxygen ecosystem is critical for basic healthcare and worthy of investment by ministries of health. The Ethiopian Ministry of Health (MOH) has been making strides to build a resilient health system including a robust medical oxygen infrastructure, for a strong response to public health emergencies such as COVID-19.
Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) Ethiopia supports a wide range of programs within the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia to improve access to and the quality of care in the country. Apart from COVID-19, CHAI Ethiopia’s support to the MOH includes eight programs: Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), Access to Medicine, Laboratory Services, Vaccines, Cancer, Woreda Transformations, and Global Health Financing.
The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-income countries. The MOH, with CHAI Ethiopia support, would like to procure pipeline and manifold materials, installation, and related services for 15 high-priority health facilities in the country.
Procurement bids will be considered on the basis of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, value for money, and long-term sustainability of the oxygen ecosystem.
